MAKE A BET
Did you ever make a bet with your partner in life, hoping but not expecting it to ever happen? Last evening, we had the pleasure of watching one of the best baseball games that I have ever seen in my 63 years. As we are all aware now, our beloved Cubbies beat the Cleveland Indians in extra innings, after a raw 108 year wait, which brings me to the purpose of my story today. It’s funny how each of us are inspired by the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Cubs winning the World Series in different ways. We had a very happy couple walk into our store at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø today. This couple has been dating for a few years now and last year they decided to make a bet between themselves. You see, the two of them are avid Cubs fans and the couples bet was, if the Cubs win the World Series in 2016, then the day after the final game, they would go straight over to the court house in ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø and get married, and today is that day! So, the two of them walked into our store, chose their wedding bands, we engraved their initials in each ring, along with today’s date, 11-03-16, and from our store, they walked straight over to the Court house in ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø to get their marriage license and then waited for the Justice of the Peace to marry them.
Not realizing, they even dressed in Cubby Blue for their wedding day! All of the stars lined up perfect for the Cubs, for ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, and for this beautiful couple. All of us at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø want to send our heartiest Congratulations to Andrew and Nora. We wish you both nothing but the very best, with many years of happiness together, and hopefully more World Series Games to watch our Cubbies win!! Oh, and by the way, what great prize will you get next year when they win again?!!
